Catholic Charities is constantly adapting how we offer resources and work with community partners to meet the changing needs of people in the 16 counites of the Diocese of Green Bay through the eyes of Jesus. Our Information & Referral program meets community and individual needs through phone calls, online submissions, emails, and in-person appointments. In 2023, we assisted 1,057 inquiries for help.
Whenever possible, we provide internal referrals to programs we offer such as mental health, financial health counseling, immigration and refugee services, adoption and pregnancy support, human dignity and life, and outreach events. Referrals to other community-partner agencies are made when an in-house program does not apply. We let the client drive how we help, and we work together to find creative solutions when a gap is identified.
With homelessness identified as a growing concern, agencies with housing programs like ours utilize a joint database called Coordinated Entry to assign priority and enroll those experiencing homelessness into programs. We assist with enrollment into the database, streamlining the solution to reduce homelessness by consolidating the number of contacts a family needs to make when seeking housing programs and assistance.
Those we assist often need items not provided through various programs. If your heart is led to help, please see our wish list below. Donations are accepted at our Green Bay office Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
