It is with great joy, that I introduce myself as a new member of the Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Green Bay team! My name is Kim Connelly, and I am the Director of Mental Health Counseling alongside an existing team of dedicated professionals who collectively provide client-centered mental health services. My background includes a doctor of nursing practice in integrative health and healing, coupled with board certification in advanced holistic nursing. My professional experience includes individual and group mental health, as well as pediatrics, oncology, palliative and hospice and school-based nursing. I have had the privilege of caring for both children and adults in our community and have collaborated with executive teams on initiatives such as program assessment, intentional change, implementation science and outcome evaluation.
My husband, John, and I have six children between the ages of 13 and 24. Our family resides in De Pere and belongs to St. Francis Xavier Parish. I enjoy being an active member of our parish as a lector, Eucharistic minister and catechist volunteer, as well as partnering with my husband as a FOCCUS couple for marriage preparation. In my free time, I am adventurous! I love doing anything outdoors, especially backpacking, camping, traveling and gardening. I also enjoy reading, crafting and socializing with friends.
My role at Catholic Charities combines two incredible passions of mine — my love for God and a desire to serve others. I genuinely believe that faith integration and the use of evidence-based mental health strategies can create powerful and productive behavioral change. Through life's challenges and triumphs, nurturing my relationship with God and prioritizing mental health — for myself and those I love — has helped me create a joy-filled life. My hope is that God’s peace be in your heart and lived outwardly in your life!
