We are thrilled to be a part of the launch of the new On Mission e-newsletter.
Twice a month, we plan to offer you information and updates on Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Green Bay in this newsletter. We want to share with you news and information about our work in strengthening families through program areas such as family life, mental health, and budget counseling.
As missionary disciples, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Green Bay serves in our communities by working and inviting those who have often been left out or feel alone to know and experience the tremendous and abundant love of God through his Son, Jesus Christ.
We witness the suffering of humankind — hunger, unemployment, mental illness, forced migration, the need for safe shelter, poverty, loneliness, and anxiety. Every day, Catholic Charities staff and volunteers alleviate that suffering by providing adoption and pregnancy support, options for safe shelter, job training, mental health and financial counseling, immigration and refugee services, hospitality, and hope.
Our adoption and pregnancy support services find itself in uncharted territory and, for the first time in our history, we find ourselves with more infants in need of homes than we have approved adoptive parents. Praise God that more moms and dads in need know about the love for them and the options we have available when faced with an unplanned pregnancy. To learn more about our adoption and pregnancy support services, you can attend one of our free informational sessions or contact us to learn more.
We look forward to sharing more about Catholic Charities, bringing you stories and information that will help you stay connected with our mission. You’ll learn about our services and insights about impacts, spotlight volunteers, opportunities to get involved, and upcoming events of interest and help for you and your family.
And if you or someone you know might benefit from one of our programs or services, please do reach out at 920-272-8234 or email us at [email protected]. We are here and ready to walk with those in need.
Peace and joy,
Karmen Lemke
Director, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Green Bay
