Our Refugee Integration Services team partners with immigrant and refugee communities to help individuals and families build connected, successful lives in Northeast Wisconsin. Through personalized support, culturally responsive programs, and practical training, we empower newcomers to navigate their new community, achieve their goals, and share their unique talents and experiences.
Individuals who have experienced forced displacement are eligible for services. Together with volunteers and community partners, we foster meaningful relationships, cross-cultural understanding, and opportunities for long-term belonging, helping create a stronger and more welcoming community for all.
One of the biggest challenges facing newcomers in the United States is navigating the complexities and nuances of the American health care system. Our team provides participants with a case manager who can help them through the process of establishing a provider, making difficult insurance choices, navigating the health care system, or even finding their way through a difficult crisis or procedure.
Our team is here to help with a wide range of housing related obstacles and barriers. We provide both workshops and more individualized education to ensure all tenants understand their rights and responsibilities as renters or homeowners in their new country. Our team is ready to support immigrants and refugees as they begin the process of moving, searching for new apartments, or purchasing homes.
Our employment team strives to connect immigrants and refugees with well-paying jobs and careers that fit their skills, education, knowledge, and ambitions to meet both their needs and the needs of employers in Northeast Wisconsin. Participants are paired directly with our employment specialist who prepares them to be successful job searchers while also providing 90-day retention support.
