“We at Catholic Charities are grateful for this support from Froedtert Holy Family Memorial to help make a difference in the lives of Manitowoc County residents.”
Catholic Charities is pleased to announce that we are the recipient of a grant from the Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Community Grant Program which supports services to Manitowoc County residents in 2026. This grant specifically aims to expand Catholic Charities’ Family Resource Coordination and Immigration Legal Services to area residents.

So far, 71 Manitowoc area residents have received services through the project. Our staff works with individuals and families surrounding goals they would like to achieve such as addressing immigration status, navigating human services, or the health care system. Services have been provided via group perinatal mental health education, tangible items through Hope in Hand bags, immigration legal services, and family resource coordination appointments.
Services available:
- Immigration legal: By appointment only and offered in person at St. Francis of Assisi Parish office, virtually, or an agreed upon community location.
- Hope in Hand bags: On the third Tuesday of each month, bags are available for any families with a child under three years of age in their home. Each bag includes hygiene items for parents and children, a pack of diapers, a children’s book, and resource information.
- Perinatal mental health education: This is offered via group presentation or 1:1 by appointment.
- Family resource coordination: Help with identifying and accessing community programs and supports, navigating healthcare and community programs systems, assisting to reduce barriers to help achieve goals, or direct assistance to fulfill an unmet need.
