Christel worked at a small credit union for many years before joining Catholic Charities. She was inspired to become a counselor because she enjoys working with people to help them find ways to be more financially secure.

Christel earned her bachelor's degree from UW-River Falls. Her hobbies include outdoor activities, music, sewing and loom knitting.
