By Tara DeGrave, Associate Director of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Green Bay

Giving Tuesday is a global movement that celebrates generosity and inspires people to give back through their time, talents, or treasures. It occurs annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, which falls on December 2 this year.

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Green Bay is a non-profit agency that is the social services arm of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Green Bay. Catholic Charities is called to serve all people throughout the 16 counties of the diocese in Northeast Wisconsin.

Annually, Catholic Charities staff and volunteers reach over 10,000 people through direct services and community outreach.  The organization provides mental health resources, financial health counseling, adoption and pregnancy support services, immigration legal services, refugee integration services, and wellness and support services.

Catholic Charities meets individuals and families where they are at, often during times of struggle — whether facing mental health challenges, loneliness, unexpected pregnancy, financial hardship, or adjusting to life in a new country. Catholic Charities accompanies people through these struggles, providing counseling and supportive services that reflect the face of Jesus and help people achieve their personal wellness goals.

No act of generosity is too small! Here are a few ways you can support Catholic Charities this Giving Tuesday:
