GREEN BAY — Do you feel inspired to act, to help those in need in our diocese? Then join us at “Inspired to Act,” the annual fundraiser to benefit Catholic Charities, coming up on Thursday, May 9, at The Marq in De Pere. This is Catholic Charities’ only major fundraising event each year and it is now in its 10th year. Our goal this year is to create more awareness about the work of Catholic Charities and to raise $150,000 to help fund our mission. The staff and volunteer-led committee is putting on the finishing touches that will make this year’s event extra special.
So, what is all the excitement? And why should you attend?
Here are 10 reasons to attend and become a part of this great cause:
Meet The Fannin Family. Kate and three of her daughters, Monica, Maria, and Sarah will be our feature entertainment for the evening. This local family (Greenville) appeared on NBC's The Sing-Off in 2011. Sharing their gift of music and uniting us around the mission and impact of Catholic Charities, the Fannins will bring warmth and light to our evening.
Join our emcees Michele McCormack, evening anchor at WFRV Local 5, and Fr. Mark VanderSteeg, vicar for priests and pastoral leaders for the Diocese of Green Bay, as they engage the audience in a fun evening.
Say hello to Bishop David Ricken and his sister, Carol Ricken, who will be with us to offer prayer and thanksgiving during the evening.
This year’s amazing silent auction, which includes items ranging from a dinner experience with Chef Ace Champion, to a trip to Mexico and much more. There is something for everyone. Bidding online begins on Monday, April 29. (https://e.givesmart.com/events/A0Q/) You don’t even need to be present to bid.
Share a delicious country-style broasted chicken dinner or baked cod, with mashed potatoes, herb stuffing and all the trimmings. Dessert is from Uncle Mike’s Bake Shoppe.
With each ticket purchase, enjoy two complimentary drinks at The Marq.
Hear stories of impact and how the work of Catholic Charities has reached more than 10,000 people this past year with plans to serve even more of those in need with your support.
Capture a free photo in the Catholic Charities “photo booth” with your friends as a remembrance of the evening.
Be a small part of something big. Help fund our mission: “Putting our faith into action by strengthening individuals, families, and communities while reflecting the love of God through His Son, Jesus Christ.” With your help we can bring much needed services and resources to more people in need.
Enjoy an evening for a worthy cause with your family and friends at The Marq, located conveniently off I-41 near De Pere. Tickets are $100 per person and can be purchased here until sold out: https://e.givesmart.com/events/A0Q/
