Welcome Angel Groups assist the resettlement agency in providing some initial resettlement services as outlined below based on the level of support and time the volunteer angel group is able to provide. These groups may choose to work with one family or work with a few families at a time. It is a group of 3-7 volunteers working together to make a difference in the lives of a refugee newcomer family.
Co-Sponsorship groups are comprised of a group of 7 or more individuals who work with the resettlement agency to provide most initial resettlement services and are looking to work with one family for up to 12 months. The resettlement agency provides the co-sponsorship group with initial training and guidance throughout the co-sponsorship process. Co-sponsor groups take on a leading role in the resettlement work and community integration for the particular family they are matched with.
Based on your volunteer group size, determine the level of interest for your group and contact Green Bay Catholic Charities. We will provide training and support througout the entire process.
