"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." - 1 Peter 5:7
When life has become overwhelming and thoughts turn dark, many individuals have turned to our Catholic Charities Mental Health Services. We are proud to provide professional counseling to individual, family, and group therapy.

Catholic Charities Mental Health Program reaches out to all 16 counties of the Diocese of Green Bay. We offer in person and virtual appointments depending on your location and needs. Our physical locations are in Green Bay, Marinette and at LEAVEN in Menasha.
Each client’s values are respected. We can offer faith-integrated professional counseling when it aligns with your preferences. At this time, we are taking new mental health clients who are 18 years of age or older. We encourage you to check back with us periodically as we will update this page when we are taking new clients who are under 18. In the meantime, please reach out to your insurance company for a list of providers or visit the Wisconsin Consortium of Catholic Therapists for a list of Catholic Counselors. You may also reach out to our Family Resource Coordination team to learn about other services Catholic Charities can provide that may be attributing to your counseling concerns at 920-272-8234 or charitiesgb@gbdioc.org.
We’re here to make getting started with counseling as smooth and supportive as possible. Here’s what you can expect:
Reach out to us by phone at 920-272-8234 or through our online Contact Us. One of our experienced Intake Specialists will assist you and answer any of your questions. If you leave a message, we will return your call within 48 hours. At that time we are not taking new clients however, we are happy to answer any questions you may have.
Our Intake Specialist will conduct a short phone screening to understand your needs, determine the best fit among our counselors, and schedule your first appointment.
Catholic Charities Mental Health Program is a DHS 35 Outpatient Mental Health Clinic program that offers counseling for all individuals regardless of their background.
If you have insurance, we will ask for your information at this time. It may be necessary for you to contact your insurance provider to see if counseling services are included in your insurance (individual, couples, or family). If you do not have insurance or wish not to use your insurance, there is a sliding-fee scale structure offered for individuals or families with financial hardship. This means paying based on income. Please be advised that if you have any Medicaid or Medicare programs, these programs prohibit us from offering private pay options.
Catholic Charities counselors are covered by the following insurance plans:
We are not able to accept any other insurances not listed.
You’ll receive a secure link to complete intake forms online. These include basic information, consent to treatment, client and provider practices statements. We ask that you complete these forms before your first appointment.
In your first session, your counselor will get to know you and discuss any preferences you may have, such as interest in faith-based counseling. They will also discuss your goals and begin developing a personalized plan for your care. After this session, all following visits with your therapist will be scheduled with your therapist.

Thank you to our sponsors!
