With the increases in the number of new families arriving, we are asking for help in obtaining basic needs like clothing, toiletries, and other items.
Donations made to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Green Bay will be used for general refugee resettlement services and support.
As a resettlement agency, Catholic Charities welcomes new refugees to the Green Bay area each year. This year, we will welcome 170 refugees from around the world. Refugees are a special classification of immigrants established by Congress executed by the United States Department of State Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration.
Here is an overview of the refugee process.
Upon arrival in Green Bay, Cahtolic Charities assists refugees with the following during their first 90 days;
Housing
Cultural orientation
Medical screening/accessing healthcare
Household items
Information & referral assistance for community programs
Education for children
English classes
